Support Services Bureau - School Resource Officers
The School Resource Officer position is an integral part of the Mountain Home Police Department and of the community. They are responsible for monitoring the schools, interacting with the children to keep them safe and informed, and providing community outreach to the youth of the City.
SRO Holloway is currently serving as the DARE Officer for the Mountain Home Police Department. MHPD is proud to keep an active DARE program running for the children in the schools, making sure they are educated on making the smartest choices they can in uncomfortable situations. He focuses his SRO duties on Hacker Middle School and the Mountain Home Junior High, as well as being a presence at the Elementary School when required.
SRO Stapel focuses her SRO duties at the High School. She also assists at the city's Elementary Schools when necessary.
Both SROs can often be found assisting with many, if not all, of the school's larger functions, such as dances, sporting events and special events.
